Fostering Information Sessions
A great opportunity to find out about fostering,to talk to us and meet our wonderful foster carers.
We are especially interested in hearing from people who might like to foster an older child (5 plus) and from people who could care for brothers and sisters
Our next session is on Tuesday 20th January 7.00 – 8.30pm at the Southwick Community Centre, 24 Southwick Street, Southwick, West Sussex, BN42 4TE.

The Information Session will give you an opportunity to find out more about fostering, meet members of the Fostering Team and hear from people currently fostering for Brighton and Hove about their experiences of fostering, both the rewards and the challenges. There will also be an opportunity for you to ask any individual questions you may have.
We are seeking foster carers for children of all ages, but at present we are looking in particular for foster carers:
- for older children, 10 years plus
- for a parent and their baby
- for sibling groups
We are also looking for people from our Black and Asian communities to care for children of all ages as we feel that it is important that all children are placed with foster carers that reflect their ethnic and cultural background. To enable this we have a dedicated Recruitment Officer for Black and minority ethnic foster carers. Her name is Virginia Collison and she can be contacted directly by email firstname.lastname@example.org or at our office number.
Please let us know if you are able to attend this event. We run the information sessions throughout the year, so if this date is not suitable, please contact us or check our website which has other dates and venues and further information. Alternatively, if you would prefer a social worker to visit you at home in the first instance, this can also be arranged.
