- Support Groups
- Brighton & Hove Foster Carers can access regular support groups, which are currently being held virtually via Microsoft Teams. All groups aim to facilitate learning and sharing and are a platform for Foster Carers to support one another so that they can provide the very best care for our children.

- Support groups include;
- BAME Cultural Support Group - encouraged for all Foster Carers caring for BAME children
- Wellbeing Support Group - set up to support the mental and physical wellbeing of our Foster Carers. Pre-Covid sessions have included walks, mindfulness workshops, pebble paining and beaded jewellery making. Virtual sessions now include topics such as Feeling Calm, Relaxation, Sleep, Aromatherapy, Hand Massage, Art & Collage, Gratitude and Self-Care. Sessions are bookable online monthly events. - Doctors of the World UK (DOTW) offer leaflets with health and wellbeing information for young refugees and unaccompanied asylum-seeking children (UASC) and young people (YP) living in the UK.
- City of Sanctuary is a national network of local groups made up by businesses, community organisations and individuals who believe that sanctuary seekers should be welcomed. The Brighton & Hove City of Sanctuary page can be accessed here.
